<aside> 🎨 Hi! I'm Lorena Cocora, an artist and a programmer with a formal background in computer science and media arts. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Babeș-Bolyai University and a Master’s in Interactive Arts from UNATC Bucharest, where I specilized in sensor-driven installations and experiences.
In my day-to-day work, I am a cultural worker and a technical consultant at Marginal, working at the intersection of art, science and technology.
In my artistic work, I engage with themes such as permacomputing, eco-feelings, climate and environmental injustice, and the impact of capitalism. I don’t have a favorite medium, I mostly combine coding, sensors, image, sound, and collage to create experiences with the aim of giving voice to overlooked narratives and inspiring action.
